Kestrel has been rumored to be spending significant time in the A2 Wind Tunnel doing “Out of the box” testing in order to ensure that not only the frameset is fast, but the parts that are being put on the frameset enhance the wind tunnel results. The new design is said to be tested against competitors bikes as the customer receives it out of the box. This ensures that the customer gets “real” results on the bike they will actually ride, not what is perceived as fast.
We are also hearing that it will be available in 2 colors, and 3 different offerings:
LTD with Di2, Zipp Wheels, 3T bar
SL with Sram Red, Mavic Wheels, Zipp Bar
Ultegra, Mavic Wheels, Profile Bar
While not final in design just yet, we are certain this will make it's debut in Kona where Kestrel will make it official to athletes. By the way... it will be UCI legal.
