É já este fim de semana a prova nº 3 da WCS e que não vai contar com a presença de nenhum atleta portugês...

Nem de nenhum russo, que hoje saíram todos da "startlist"...mmm

World Championships come to Washington, DC

Washington, DC is one of the venues for the new World Championship Series by the International Triathlon Union (ITU):

Dextro Energy Triathlon – ITU World Championship Series

As of 2009, the World Champions will not be selected in a single event - but via a points system during eight events throughout the season. New standards will be set in triathlon sport with very attractive venues in the center of world famous cities, a guaranteed world wide TV presence and prize money for the whole series to the value of $2 million.

In addition to the elite race, there will also be an age group race at each venue. The age group, junior and U23 World Championships will be held at the last venue, in conjunction with the so called Grand Finale.
