Sieger2009
Winner: Erika Csomor (HUN) and Joerie Vansteelant (BEL).

Break-through win for Belgian Powerman-Worldchampion Vansteelant
6th victory in a row for Erika Csomor (HUN) in womans Race

Joerie Vansteelant started in Zofingen for the first time – and accomphlished as a rookie the first win. He clocked 6:11:35, that is a great new course record. The old one had been realised by Koen Maris, who had 6:21:00 in 2007. After 70 of 150 km of bike race he took high risks, drove away and was on the road for his first win in Zofingen. "I was feeling easy all over the race, only the last 10 km of the run had been hard", that's what Vansteelant told the crowd in the winner's interview. The Powerman Zofingen Duathlon is the Powerman World Championship and is leading over 10 km run, 150 km bike, 30 run.

The field of participants at Powerman Zofingen 2009 with over 40 elite athletes from 25 countries had been much stronger as in past years.

The women’s field with overall 50 participants was one of the largest ever at Powerman Zofingen and there had been one big favorite: Erika Csomor. She had won the last five races, what is already a record. And Erika Csomor (HUN) did it again and realised her 6th win in a row. It had been really hard for Erika Csomor: "I did all mentally", said the Hungarian, who did a lot of racing this year.

In the different categories (long distance, short distance 5-150-10, team-race, power kids) totally 831 men and women started.
